چکیده
バクテリアは細胞壁合成が阻害されると溶菌するが,高浸透圧条件下では一部の細胞が細胞壁が無くても生存可能なL-formと呼ばれる状態に変換し,増殖できる.本稿では,その変換機構を明らかにすべく,我々の研究チームが行ったL-formのリアルタイム可視化による成果を中心に紹介する.
